."La Cortijá de los Ciegos " is situated 2kms from the village Puerto Lumbreras, with
direct access by the Murcia-Almería motorway (exit: Puerto Lumbreras sur-Almendricos).Standing
within its own extensive grounds and surrounded by mediterraen vegetation
(olive trees, orange trees and almend trees), the house has capacity for eight
people ( 2 bedrooms with double beds
and 2 with single beds). The house is fitted with every modern convenience:
central heating, open fireplace, mcro-wave, vitroceramic hotplate...etc in
an inviting rustic environ-ment, so you coundn´t feel more at home.
The
excelent location, on the border between Murcia and Andalucia, permits a wide range of activites and outings a day on the beach,
in 25 minutes you can be having a swim on the excelent beaches of Aguilas,
or you can be enjoying the natural beuty la sierra del Cabezo de la Jara(4km
from the house),or Parque de la Sierra de María(30kms), or the Parque Natural
de Cabo de Gata.Alternatively, discover the curtulal an artistic history of the
area: Lorca(15kms), the castle at Velez Blanco(Almería:27kms), Murcia(80kms),
or espend the day in Granada, two hours drive away, where you can go on a
guided tour of the Alhambra or visit the Albayzin or the historical centre of
the city.
If
on the other hand you prefe to stay where you are, occupants con relax and, if
you feel like it, take part in activites such us the picking of olives and
almonds during the apropiate season, or else why not
buy some goat´s milk and make your own cheese. During your stay you would be
able to purchase a wide variety of natural organic products suchus oranges or
virgin olive oil from the area.
